Gastrointestinal Unit Manchester, CT This project was one of the hospital’s flagship projects for the year. It consisted of a complete demolition of its entire Sterile Processing Area and rebuilding a new GI department. The project was completed in about six months and well within budget. It included seven procedure rooms, 27 recovery areas and a number of other support rooms. The new GI Unit is completely self- contained for an out-patient operation, separate from the day- to- day operations of the hospital itself.
